hubby saw a job ad and we are considering putting our house on the market but want to know if there is any reason we would not want to live near Chattanooga. i Love TN but it's hard to find jobs so hubby is not sure how far he'd have to drive if we wanted to live near the country( horses). i don't know if this will ever happen, i WISH, but it's hard to know now, if we could afford to leave his job and move.

Colleen, you know I don't live there. But DH has a cousin there that we visit. I'm sure there's more to it than I've seen, but what I have seen was really nice.

thanks. After last night's discussion, we probably have to wait. the job market being what it is, my hubby might not want to leave his job b/c his job is very stable now. So it would be a risk taking a job in TN that may or may not be stable. i am kind of upset that he got me so excited thinking we could sell this house. i hate it here. But realistically, we are probably stuck here for at least a few more years if not until retirement.

We are oh, 'bout 3 hrs from Chattanooga.
We enjoy visitin' there lots, much history and an awesome aquarium in Chattanooga, also home to the "Chattanooga Choo Choo too etc.
I hate that the economy sucks right now....
Maybe things will get better if only gradually....

thanks, yes we are frustrated. i love TN so much. i am a southern girl at heart, even tho i was born in the NE and lived here all my life.

I was born in Detroit but Alabama is home sweet home to me!
We are off from the ridin' ctr this week so I'm gonna try and get in a ride if at all possible. The weather is supposed to break and be in the hi 80s to low 90s and now that is gonna be very nice indeed
