Default my bra shopping experience

I was cleared by PS to purchase a wirefree bra this week. I went shopping today and got a Bali Passion for Comfort Wirefree bra (style 3389). I am currently fitting into a 34D. It was so exciting to go to a store and buy a regular bra. when I put the bra on and looked in the mirror I started to cry tears of joy. It was one of the best experiences I have had in my life. One other highlight was that one bra didn't cost $60+. Before BR I was paying anywhere between $60 to $85 for a single bra.

Jeni,

Congratulations. It is funny how the emotions from a breast reduction are the same as from a breast augmentation. It only goes to show how emotionally vested we are in our breasts and how we look. Having a balanced body image is so important. Hugs hon.

Thats so good to hear...it is very emotional when we look at ourselves and realize at least one of our dreams has come true. Congrats.

That's a wonderful feeling. When I tried on my first post-BR bra and it was normal size, not humungous and expensive, I sat in the store fitting room and cried happy tears.

Yay Jeni! So glad you are at the point of buying normal bras and clothes. It is the best feeling after years of scrutiny and paid. Remember how you said some jerk was rudely reacting to your big boobs? NO MORE!

I bought my first post-op bra on Friday (34C). It is beautiful. I wore it out for supper. After supper, we decided to go to a movie. I told my fiance that I wanted to go home first and take off the bra and put on a bra that I have been so accustomed to wearing the last 5-1/2 weeks -- the sports bra!
I felt soooo much more comfortable. I think I need to go bra shopping AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Momily, Don't worry, it will take a while to get used to the New Bra. I was over 2 months before I could wear a regular bra without discomfort, but still after a while I felt sore. Even after 3 months when I went back to work, I would still come home and either take it off or switch to my comfy sprorts bra.

Thanks, Donna. I'm just really worried because I get married in less than 5 weeks and I don't want to go bra-less. Do you recommend a type of bra that is more "comfy" than "cute"?

The one I have now is the Bali 3820 this is a silky type. The one I got at first was the soft cotton,3036 it is the same pattern, just different material. It was really soft on the incisions area. I am sure there are many different ones out there, but I just like the Bali brand. I wear both of them to work and they are still pretty enough to wear on special occasions. .:questionmark:
on your upcoming marriage. DH and I will celebrate 36 years on Aug 3.
