Here is a link that may be helpful to you Pat.

Breast Cancer Topic: Alloderm worth it?

It talks about Alloderm establishes a blood supply to become part of your own body. I think it is similar to an incision getting itch as it is healing. Please don't let the itching discourage you from the Alloderm. It is a wonderful product for us reconstruction gals!

I had Alloderm placed under the skin of my nose to make the thin skin thicker. It never itched and I think the skin is still thicker four years later. I had no problems with it at all. I hope this helps.

my PS says that he will utilize this material when he revises where I had my incisional hernia repaired 'bout 3 years ago.

Then, the general surgeon used this "mesh" and man is that now a MESS, my PS after exam tells me that my hernia has not returned 'but' that the mesh is all bunched up in there.:frown: I can not only see it but I can feel it as well YUCK....
Think bikini line, that would be location on the right side.

So may have it done in August when we are out of sessions at the ridin' ctr or may hold off until COLD winter weather time. I dunno depends on how much it aggravates me

Hugs doll and hopin' that all goes well for you!

Do you have PS appt Tuesday?

Got your surgery date....
